ShareTheMeal initiative to fight against hunger

Edenred partners with ShareTheMeal, the UN-backed program tackling global hunger through donations. Following an initial campaign in 2025, Edenred renewed its partnership in 2026 to fund 100,000 meals for people in need, leveraging the power of its network in 44 countries.

"Share the meal" with children in need

There are currently 319 million people facing severe food insecurity around the world, according to the World Food Programme (WFP), the UN’s organization providing food assistance worldwide. The WFP developed the ShareTheMeal program to give everyone the ability to help fighting against global hunger.

In practical terms, anyone can "share their meal" with a child in need through a mobile app. Each donation of just €0.70 provides a meal to someone in need, delivered by WFP, the world's largest humanitarian organization providing food assistance to about 100 million people worldwide each year.

This way, ShareTheMeal makes fighting hunger accessible to anyone with a smartphone - a small contribution with BIG impact.

2026 ShareTheMeal Challenge aims to raise 100,000 meals

True to its purpose of “Enriching connections. For good.”, Edenred is raising donations through a dedicated ShareTheMeal fundraising page, in partnership with WFP. The 2026 challenge builds on the success of the 2025 inaugural campaign, which exceeded its target by raising 102,916 meals.

This year, Edenred is leveraging the full scale of its network - 60 million users, 2 million partner merchants and 1 million client companies - to demonstrate how small individual contributions can create significant collective impact.

For Edenred, the inventor of Ticket Restaurant® and a company whose digital solutions enable tens of millions of employees to access daily meals at work, the partnership represents a natural extension of its food-related heritage.
