Edenred leverages its structured open innovation policy to explore ecosystems close to its core business and help create the new solutions of tomorrow.

 

Making young companies grow

In 2012, Edenred launched Edenred Capital Partners, the Group’s own capital investment fund.

The objective is to acquire minority interests, usually with other funds, in innovative projects related to the Group’s activities and with a strong potential for growth.

Edenred Capital Partners has notably invested in France in La Compagnie des Cartes Carburant and ProwebCE (since integrated into the Group), Zenchef and Andjaro; in the United Kingdom in Beamery; and in the United States in Candex.

Supporting projects that create value

In 2011, the Group teamed up with the Partech Ventures investment fund to support young and growing companies, through 7 different vehicles.

In 2017, the Group also invested in the Partech Africa fund in order to explore the African market, where mobile payment and e-trade are booming.

In 2022, Edenred joined forces with Raise Ventures, the the RAISE Group's investment arm aimed at financing Tech and digital startups. The first European venture capital fund to integrate ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria into its investment and support strategy from the outset, the "Seed for Good" fund aims to bring out future European leaders in responsible Tech.

More recently, in 2023, Edenred invested in the Tomcat Ventures 1 fund managed by Tomcat, the accelerator and investment fund dedicated to early stage start-ups with B2B and B2B2C models. In line with Edenred's strategic plan, Beyond22-25, this investment aims to strengthen the Group's open-innovation approach in several key sectors.
