In 2019, Edenred renewed its participation in VivaTech, one of the most outstanding innovation events in Europe gathering global companies, startups, business and thought leaders, investors, academics, students and media.
Being a key player in the field of professional mobility, the Group wishes to leverage new capabilities to propose efficient and disruptive solutions for the working world. This is why the Group’s participation took this year again the form of a pitch contest, an open innovation challenge aimed at startups, which was set as follows:
- Edenred launched an online call for projects on one of its key problematics: “How can we provide employees with a fluid travel experience all along their workday?”
- Startups submitted their applications via the VivaTech website
- The Edenred jury selected 7 finalists who got the chance to pitch their solutions onstage, in 4 minutes each, during VivaTech.
At the end of the pitch session, the winner was designated by the jury, composed of Philippe Dufour, Executive VP, Alternative investments; Elie du Pré de Saint Maur, Executive VP, Marketing and Strategy; Antoine Dumurgier, CEO, Fleet & Mobility solutions; and Anne-Sophie Sibout, VP, Communications.
The winner, the start-up Carfit, specialized in predictive car maintenance, earned a prize of €5,000 and the opportunity to collaborate with Edenred to develop its business.
Congratulations to Carfit on an amazing pitch and concept!
