Food vouchers go 100% digital in Uruguay


3,000 clients. 100,000 employee beneficiaries 2,500 affiliated shops and restaurants

In August 2015, the Central Bank of Uruguay published new regulations related to meal vouchers encouraging issuers to offer a digital solution rather than paper vouchers. Edenred Uruguay began taking action as soon as this regulatory change was announced.

To date, most of the subsidiary's clients have already opted for a digital solution, with 85% of its issue volume generated from vouchers in card format.
