Edenred France is hence the only French issuer to combine FSC* certification and recycled paper.
This is an important step, which will save:
- 7,650 trees per year,
- Nearly 25 million liters in water,
- 1,125,000 kWh in energy consumed for the manufacturing of 300 million vouchers per year.
Retrospective of a strong environmental commitment:
- In 2006, Edenred France becomes the first meal-voucher issuer to be given environmental certification. The certification was renewed in 2011 following an audit by Bureau Véritas.
- Since 2009, all Edenred France vouchers have been printed on FSC-certified paper. Edenred France, as the last link in the value chain of its vouchers, is the first issuer to have requested and obtained its own FSC certification in October 2011.
A company caring for the impacts of its activities:
Edenred France has also conducted in 2011 its carbon assessment. This assessment has confirmed that theshift to recycled-paper vouchers will enable Edenred France to reach 60 % of its objectives in terms of Greenhouse gases emissions reduction as of 2012. One of the next steps will be the digital shift for service vouchers, one more step in the direction of reduced paper consumption for Edenred France.
