From September 16 to November 10, 2019, Edenred organized its Edenraid event for the third year in a row, challenging its employees all over the world to run, walk, pedal or swim for a good cause.
A challenge that was taken up in all 46 of the countries in the Group. Thanks to the accumulated performance of 4,330 participants, or almost one half of our headcount, in 2019, Edenred's employees covered 627,000 km, or almost twice the distance covered last year, and way beyond our initial target of 350,000 km.
A performance that enabled the Group to make a donation of €35,000 to Make-A-Wish®, which was the amount promised if the challenge was a success.
The Group’s donation was handed over on November 29 by Jacques Adoue, Edenred’s Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility, to Alain Del Puerto, Chairman of Make-A-Wish® France, at a ceremony at the Group's head office. Stéphanie Isidor, the mother of two boys whose wishes came true thanks to the nonprofit organization (to meet rapper Orelsan and go skiing this winter), was also present to share her first-hand account.
