Initiated in 2009 by Edenred, the European FOOD program (Fighting Obesity through Offer and Demand) is a public-private consortium aimed to provide answers to the growing problem of obesity. The program brings together public authorities, nutritionists, university researchers and Group subsidiaries to improve the nutritional quality of meals offered to employees during their lunch break.
The FOOD program in figures

- 1 goal: to promote healthy eating during the working day
The FOOD program proudly celebrated its 10th anniversary in November 2019 during a special General meeting gathering in Athens, Greece over 30 representatives coming from 10 different EU countries.
The lively discussions also enabled to open up new perspectives for the program, as well as future developments to ensure its continuity. The focus was put on the online communications and on the Barometer's results dissemination to restaurants and employees in order to get more adherence to the program. This meeting was a great success thanks to the partners’ contribution and involvement.
