Realizing the potential of each individual and respecting differences
The strength of Edenred has always been the diversity of its staff. Respect for diversity of all kinds is an integral part of our corporate culture. Professional equality is a reality at Edenred, where 53% of our staff are women.
Edenred supports all initiatives in this domain. We regularly assess our practice in this area using annual surveys and company indicators.
Diversity at Edenred can also be seen in the range of different nationalities represented within the same team. Edenred Germany has around a hundred staff from 14 different nationalities. Edenred USA has 46 members of staff who between them speak 12 different languages.
Supporting older workers is also a key priority for Edenred. A support plan was signed in 2009 in France whose main objectives are to encourage over 45 year olds to continue to develop their careers, improve strategies for prevention of professional risks and stress, and develop their role in training.
A few examples:
Edenred Italy was among the first signatories of the Charter for Equal Opportunities at Work (Carta per le pari opportunita e l’uguaglianza sul lavoro) launched in Italy in October 2009 and developed with the Ministry of Labour and the Minister for Equal Opportunities. This charter provides a framework to help organizations promote a corporate culture and innovative Human Resources policies which develop the potential of all staff and celebrate diversity without discrimination or prejudice.
Edenred Brazil states that a fundamental principle of its employer charter includes “making no distinction according to race, appearance, religion, gender, socio-economic background, nationality or anything else”.
Our commitment to diversity can also be seen in our inclusion of people with disabilities. Edenred France has sought to recruit them using a made-to-measure training course for customer managers and remote sales representatives developed in partnership with the agency LB France.
